VALLEY CIRCLE
By Nick Marechal
The heat waves rising off the street
The day's compass pointed south to the beach
I was young and free
To catch the next wave of life
The cars were blown' by in twos and threes
When luck pulled over and she smiled at me
And now the sun always shines on Valley Circle
She was the neighborhood homecoming queen
Out of the crowd she choose me
It was the summer of love
That lasted for a year
While memories of others have dimmed
She took me to a place that i'd never been
And now the sun always shines on Valley Circle
Valley Circle was rolling hills and old oak trees
A nearby ranch where they made movies
Remnants of the West, lost to the edge of the city
Valley Circle was a girl with ocean green eyes
and a way about her that would warm up the night
And now the sun always shines on Valley Circle
Valley Circle was rolling hills and old oak trees
A nearby ranch where they made movies
Remnants of the West, lost to the edge of the city
Valley Circle was a girl with ocean green eyes
and a way about her that would warm up the night
And now the sun always shines on Valley Circle
Then came the Fall.
She said goodbye
I understood, I knew why
The stars were calling, it was her destiny
She was the natural start of my past
A wave of love that just didn't last
And now the sun always shines on Valley Circle
She's just a vanishing point in my mind
and she lingers in a once upon a time
And the sun always shines on Valley Circle
On Valley Circle
